Tournament Golf 2019

WPGA Fourball Award - Winner!

Monday this week I played in my First Ladies tournament for 2019 at Copts Heath Golf Club. If you follow me on social media you may have seen I had a great start to the season as me and my partner won!

I played with my golfing/business partner Katie Rule (Taverstock Golf Club) in the WPGA Fourball Award and we scored 6 under.

The course played well, although a very windy day and some tram lined greens (funnily enough the same as last year!) - Luckily this didn’t affect our game much!

WPGA One Day Series 2, Ormskirk Golf Club

Thursday this week I had my furthest away One Day Series at Ormskirk Golf Club, Liverpool! I travelled up Wednesday after work and stayed over to play some interesting golf Thursday. It was the first time at the course and I’d definitely recommend it anyone, the rain had definitely made the grass grow and the fairways and course were in great condition.

Thursday’s very rainy and wet round was definitely a day where I learnt to keep my head up! After a quadruple bogey, double bogey start (from some bad decision making out of a bush), my positivity kept me going, finishing +4 and in 6th place. I was really happy making 4 birdies on the back half where I shot 1 under par!

I'm currently 4th in the Order Of Merit.

WPGA One Day Series 3, Three Rivers Golf Club

Tuesday this week I played my third One Day Series event at Three Rivers Golf Club. Although I heard the rain wasn't too bad here, I think we had most of it over us from hole 2 onwards! I had a steady round, including a birdie and bogey on the front half, staying level after 9, then another birdie on 10 and 2 bogeys on the back half finishing 1 over. I'm really pleased with how I played, although feel like I should have birdied the 17th after leaving myself a 7 iron in on a par 5 and missing the green!

Rob watched me hit balls in the net Monday afternoon and I think the foot attire of sandals must help with good practice (haha!) After finishing 1 over, some of you may have seen my social media from Tuesday, but I'm so pleased to have come 1st! A huge thank you for all the kind comments too...

With the first place finish, this has now moved me up the Order Of Merit table also to 3rd place, just 1.5 points away from 1st position. My next event is a One Day Series at South Herts Golf Club on July 1st. I have also entered the Ladies British Open Qualifier on July 15th (my birthday!) at Sandy Lodge Golf Club, it would be great if you could come and watch!

WPGA One Day Series 7 + Order Of Merit

Very happy to have finished 7th today scoring +2, slight grip change made all the difference- thanks Rob McNicholas (Although still getting the blame for the shank- 5 iron, impressive, made bogey!) Much better keeping the doubles off the card today, pleased with how I hit the ball and putted well too.

After the final One Day Series I finished 4th in the LETAS Order Of Merit out of 60 WPGA Professionals in the UK. Thank you to CF Corporate (Investec) for their continued support throughout the season and everyone who has encouraged me along the way! I reached my goal of top 5 again!

This now invites me to play in an Access Tour in September at Stoke by Nayland Hotel, Golf & Spa - it would be great for you to come & watch if your free!
